Matt has starred in numerous critically acclaimed projects, with film credits including Alice in Wonderland, Paddington and Bridesmaids, TV credits including Doctor Who, and theatre projects including Les Misérables. Additionally, Matt has created a string of bestselling children’s books, including Thank You, Baked Potato, plus his memoir Little Me.

Matt starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in Warner Bros’ musical fantasy Wonka (2023), and most recently appeared in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 (2024) in the role of Master of Ceremonies.

Matt’s debut children’s musical novel, The Boy Who slept Through Christmas, was shortlisted for the 2024 British Book Awards. Matt is currently co-hosting hit podcast Making A Scene with David Walliams, where they turn their guests’ lives into cinematic masterpieces.

Some kind words from Matt:
"It brings me great pleasure to continue my association with JJT, who took me to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival when I was just 13. He is tireless in his commitment to youth theatre, because he knows how performing, and being part of a company, can affect young peoples’ lives and bring out the best in them. It changed how I saw myself, and gave me so much confidence, and therefore I am delighted to support Thames Music Theatre."
