Important information about the auditions, show and applications process:
The preliminary audition will consist of a fun warm-up as a group of 12 to 16 or so, and then applicants will be
asked to sing the excerpt from Any Dream Will Do from the show as part of the group and then individually. After this
our choreographer will work with the rest of the creative team and the group on dance or movement-based things.

The venue for all auditions and rehearsals not in the theatre is just off Tolworth Broadway
in the KT6 postcode area: there is parking at the venue and in the immediate area, and Tolworth Broadway is well-served by bus and train.
Audition fee and course fee:
We need to charge for the initial auditions for the show at £6 per applicant, payable in advance after completing your application form. You will be emailed a link for use to make this payment. These cover
costs such as the hire of the venue, and organisational and administrative costs. Any further auditions you will attend will not incur any further cost.
In common with many courses of this type we have to charge a course fee for each participating actor. Whilst the Directors are giving their services for free, there are lots of other costs associated with mounting such a production including items such as rehearsal spaces, costume hire, set and props design and construction, royalties, choreography, technical hiring, a Fuse Festival participation fee and a sum for contingencies. The budget for this project is not low and although we expect to get a reasonable sum from the box office and from sponsorship, there is inevitably a short fall. Moreover, we have found that participants literally buy into the production if they have paid a course fee. We have tried to keep this as low as possible.
We can guarantee that, provided they participate positively and with energy, the actors will get a huge amount out of it and, who knows, like some of the other actors we have worked with when they were youngsters (e.g. Jude Law, Sheridan Smith, Jamie Bell, Matt Lucas, Hannah Spearritt – the list continues!), it could be a life-changing experience.
Accordingly, we will need to charge a fee of £100 for the project for the cast members, or £30 for the choir-members. This works out as very little per actual day of involvement!
We will have bursary fund for families in financial hardship. Please ask us about this.
Your data:
Please note that it is very helpful for the auditioners to be able to photograph or video an applicant during the audition, rehearsals and final performances. Photographs of rehearsals
or performances may be used for publicity purposes when the show is advertised. We may also put a recording of a performance online or provide photos as a memento for the participants at
the end of the project. Purely audition material is not made public, and all audition photos, videos and data will be deleted after the project, or before that if they are no longer required.
All staff involved with this project are fully DBS-checked.
